Rune Blix Hagen

Rune Blix Hagen (b. 1951) is an historian working as associate professor (førsteamanuensis) at The Department of History and Religion, University of Tromsø.
His research interests relates to the persecution of alleged witches in Arctic Norway 1590-1695, and the relationship of shamanism and witchcraft in early modern Europe.
He has also written books and articles on discovery, exploration and rivalry in the north during the 16th and 17th centuries.
